George Pooley

George Pooley, who joined GRS in 2021, has nearly two decades of experience in adjusting complex claims internationally, with specialized expertise in renewable energy projects. Before joining GRS, he was a board director of Advanta Global Services and was the founder and CEO of Renewable Energy Loss Adjusters. The nature and complexity of utility scale renewable energy assets requires the expertise of a specialist to ensure claims and risk assessments are handled in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.

George’s experience in renewables focuses primarily on onshore wind and photovoltaic power plants, but his expertise includes all types of renewable energy, including biomass, hydro, and offshore wind. A career thus far spent almost exclusively in the renewable energy sector, leading teams, and handling technical and complex claims, results in George being highly regarded within the insurance market as solutions orientated and as an individual who achieves results consistently.

George Pooley

Managing Partner

George Pooley brings over two decades of international experience in renewable energy loss adjusting and has built a reputation in the market for leading effective and responsive teams and adjusting complex renewable energy claims. Before co-founding Green Partners Adjusting, he led the renewable energy loss adjusting division at GRS Claims Solutions and had served as a Board Director at Advanta Global Services. Prior to these roles, George founded and served as CEO of Renewable Energy Loss Adjustors (RELA), pioneering a model of specialist sector loss adjusting expertise.

Nicholas Baker

Founding Partner

Nicholas Baker has extensive experience in complex claims across the energy sector, and renewable energy assets. Prior to Green Partners Adjusting, Nicholas was an Associate Director at GRS. Having now specialised solely in renewable energy for well over a decade, Nicholas has significant international experience in analysing and negotiating high value and challenging claims, as well as undertaking pre-risk surveys. Before joining GRS, he was a Senior Loss Adjuster at Advanta Global Services and previously held loss adjusting positions at Renewable Energy Loss Adjusters and Charles Taylor Consulting. Nicholas has also previously worked at broker Lloyd & Partners Ltd and started his career as an oil and gas wellhead Design Engineer at Plexus Ocean Systems Ltd.

Francesco Cecere

Senior Loss Adjuster

Francesco Cecere brings over a decade of experience in handling complex claims in the renewable energy sector. A trained engineer, Francesco previously worked at Global Risk Solutions, where he focused almost exclusively on loss adjusting for renewable energy plants, including wind and solar assets. Prior to GRS, he held adjusting roles at Fast & Clever Adjusters and the John Amos Partnership. Francesco has managed a broad range of claims including machinery breakdown, catastrophic weather events and third-party liability. Now based at Green Partners Adjusting in Milan, he is bilingual in Italian and English and is valued for his technical insight and deep sector knowledge.

Ross Montagne

Loss Adjuster

Ross Montagne brings a unique blend of technical and commercial experience from both the renewable energy and marketing sectors. Before joining Green Partners Adjusting, he worked at Global Risk Solutions, having transitioned into the renewable energy insurance space following hands-on experience in solar design and installation. He previously delivered small-scale solar and battery storage projects across southern England. Earlier in his career, Ross worked in international marketing, supporting major clients such as Zurich, BlackRock and Unilever. Based in London, Ross is focused on applying his combined client-facing and technical expertise to complex claims in the renewables sector.

Jonas Zahn

Loss Adjuster

Jonas Zahn is a London-based loss adjuster at Green Partners Adjusting, specialising in renewable energy and infrastructure claims. Prior to joining Green Partners, Jonas worked at Lloyd Warwick International, where he handled major claims across the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors. He also gained valuable domestic loss adjusting experience during his time at Sedgwick. Jonas holds a diploma in management and finance and is continuing his professional development through the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). His broad experience across both energy and property claims supports Green Partners Adjusting’s delivery of expert loss adjusting services to the renewable energy market.

Sam Toumbev

Forensic Accounting Director

Sam Toumbev is an experienced Forensic Accountant who continues his career in clean energy loss adjusting by joining Green Partners Adjusting. Previously at GRS and, prior to that, a Senior Associate at C Lewis Forensic Accountants, Sam is a Chartered Accountant (FCCA) with a Master’s degree in Engineering. He brings with him a wealth of experience in assessing complex time element claims across both construction and operational phases on behalf of global insurers. His technical background enables him to bridge engineering and financial disciplines, delivering detailed loss quantifications for energy, infrastructure, and renewable projects worldwide. Sam’s cross-sector experience and analytical approach strengthen Green Partners Adjusting’s specialist offering in renewable energy claims.

Alexandra Pooley

Personal Assistant

Alexandra Pooley has extensive career experience in professional services administration and education. Before joining Green Partners Adjusting, she held senior operational and administrative roles at Global Risk Solutions, Advanta Global Services and Renewable Energy Loss Adjusters. Prior to working in insurance services, Alexandra was a teacher at a Grammar School. Alexandra has an honour’s Bachelor of Science degree and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education.

Robyn Simpson

Finance and Operations Assistant

Robyn Simpson has extensive experience in loss adjusting administration and client services. Before joining Green Partners Adjusting, she held operational and administrative roles a variety of loss adjusting firms, supporting specialist claims handling teams in the renewable energy sector. Robyn has a strong background in client management and operations, having worked in both insurance and broader professional services environments. She is currently working towards her Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII) through the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Carries out losses in all lines, inter alia PDBI property and BI, PPL public and products liability, cargo and transport liability. Has previously worked as claims manager, competence development manager and risk manager.

Tancrède Stagnara is CEO of vrs Vering (France) and VP Development and International at the Adenes Group. As Chairman of the Board at vrs Vering Nordics, he contributes his international experience and strategic vision to support the company’s development within the vrs Adjusters network.

Martin Schörkhuber

Martin Schörkhuber is CEO at vrs SSP Adjusters (Austria). With long-standing expertise in international claims—particularly in Eastern Europe—he brings valuable insight to vrs Vering Nordics as Board Member, reinforcing the company’s ties with European insurance and construction markets.
